Exhibition Entry Information

Wine Country Quilts biennial exhibition showcases the work of quilt makers up and down the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand.  If you are an East Coast quilt maker and would like to enter your quilt(s) in our next exhibition in March 2025 please download the Conditions of Entry and the Entry Form from the available links.

Please note: Regarding hanging sleeves on quilts - refer to the section explaining the exhibition requirements. The sleeve does not need to become a permanent fixture to the quilt, it can be sewn on with long basting stitches making it easier to remove or it can be pinned on. It will be to your advantage if it is presented in a tidy fashion.

Maximum size of quilts entered is now 2.8m on any one side.

Any additional queries please email: info@winecountryquilts.org.nz

We hope you will join us on one, or more, of the 3 days to view the quilts in this exceptional newly renovated heritage building. A variety of merchants for ‘retail therapy’ and opportunities to catch up on tips to help with patchwork and quilting will be on site.

Cost to enter is $8.00 per person with children under 5 years old, free. If you are planning to visit with a busload, please contact us for assistance in making your entry to the exhibition streamlined. Should you require additional information in regards to accommodation or other areas of interest, again contact us and we will assist. Alternatively, check out www.hawkesbaynz.com.

The exhibition will be open from 10.00 am - 4.00 pm on Friday and Saturday, 10.00 am - 3.00 pm on Sunday. There will be no food or refreshments available within the exhibition. However there are several cafe options within very close walking distance. A stamp on each visitor's hand will allow access to and from the exhibition.
